How Does the LightBurn License Work?

Is It a Subscription?

No. You pay once, and the software will continue to work indefinitely as long as you have your license key.

Does the License Expire?

The license key has an expiration date – one year after its first activation. When the license expires, it remains valid, but you will no longer receive software updates. If you download a version of the software released after your license has expired, it will not work with your license. However, any version released before your license expiration date will continue to work.

How Much Does Renewal Cost?

If you decide to renew your license in order to receive software updates for another year, the price is currently $40 excluding VAT, but this price may change. Renewing your license adds one year of updates starting from the date of renewal. If you renew your license before it expires, you will receive an additional two months. How Many Computers Can I Use It On?

Your license allows you to use the software on up to three computers at the same time. They do not need to use the same operating system, and the license can be easily transferred if you get a new computer. New licenses automatically include 3 "seats" (computers). Older licenses included two seats, but we are happy to update your license to allow a third seat free of charge – simply send an email to support@lightburnsoftware.com with your license key and request a third seat.

If you need more seats, you can easily purchase additional seats depending on your license type.

I Already Have a CORE License but Need PRO. What Now?

You can easily upgrade your license by paying the difference in price. The difference is currently $100 excluding VAT.

Purchasing for a Company or Organization in European Union

There is no need to worry – LightBurn will issue an invoice. The listed prices include VAT, and VAT will be deducted after entering your VAT ID.
